This 16-hour course is to provide law enforcement officers with foundational knowledge and hands-on training in precision rifle marksmanship. This course is specifically designed for personnel aspiring to be designated marksman or who aspire to become a SWAT sniper. The course will start with learning their equipment’s nomenclature, how their equipment works, adjusting the equipment to the operator, understanding and applying all the fundamentals to shoot accurately, building a Data on Previous Engagements (DOPE) card, confirming rifle DOPE out to at least 600 yards, calling corrections, and understanding environmental conditions such as wind and how it affects the bullets trajectory. This course is designed for officers with minimal experience with their precision rifle. The course will emphasize the core skills necessary to operate a precision with confidence and accuracy.
