The purpose of this course is to introduce SWAT Snipers to basic tactical rope access concepts to include: Descending a rope, ascending a rope, hauling systems and lowering systems. Emphasis will be placed throughout the course on emergency egress techniques for both self-rescue and incapacitated personnel. This course covers the operational planning, rigging, inspection, deployment, and documentation of using rope systems for planned or unplanned sniper operations at height.
